Great location, will stay here again. Internet only on the first floor, hallway has that dormroom-like smell. Washroom is shared, but you get what you pay for. Overall, a really nice place to stay.

After staying in dozens of hostels around Europe, this hostel experience was truly disappointing. The staff were not helpful in giving advice about places to see or eat, they weren't even interested in helping in general. There were no activities, no friendly backpacking atmosphere, it was basically just a 2 star hotel with terrible wifi (only available on the ground floor). However, the room itself was very nice and clean. Will not stay here again.

I thought this was a great Hostel, met some really amazing people here. The staff were always really friendly, helpful and up for a chat. WIFI only works down in the common room, but i thought that was a great idea as I was travelling by myself it allowed me to make heaps of friends. Bathrooms/dorms were cleaned daily, fresh towel/bed linens every day. I was a bit sad to move onto my next hostel....

This hostel was good for the price I got new towels every day and new sheets every two days, my room was clean every day. You have a nice livingroom with sofa, tv and computers and you can meet people. You can't really cook because you have just microwaves. The subway is very close only two blocs (red line number 1) it's realy easy to go downtown. Also you have some grocery, coffee and restaurants near this hostel. Just some weird people lived in my corridor.

The room was nice and clean but the number of shared bathroom was really unsufficient considering the number of room. Moreover the bathroom was not so clean and we were really surprised to realize that there was people that was not only staying in the hotel but living there with children and pets. The hotel was a bit far from the main attraction, we had around 45 minutes in the subway to go downtown but, there was a subway station really close.

Nice room (double). Reasonable location, although a subway ride away from anywhere of interest (except Central Park). Kitchen was lacking, as was any sense of community. More like a hotel - but reasonably priced with shared bathrooms.

Booked a 2 person female dorm - this was about half the size of the photographed examples, just enough space for bunks and to walk past. Sink in the room was a bonus, hairdryer availability was variable - one morning none were available (no cost, just hand your passport over until returned). No central heating in room, just a loud electric heater in the room - kept waking me up through the night as is it turned on and off. Overall, not a bad place, but not spectacular.

I loved the location of Broadway Hostel, it's in it's own neighborhood but only 3 subway stops from the heart of the city. I liked that there were several private bathrooms on each floor, and I LOVED having a modern shower with a rainfall showerhead (fancy!). All bathrooms were clean. My disappointments were that my bunk bed squeeked loudly with any move I made, disturbing my room partner. Also, the lockers were to small to fit my whole bag in. Linens and towels were cheap and threadbare.

Good hostel with great staff. The nearby metro station makes any trip easy but the walk back from downtown Manhattan is also pleasant, with the hostel easy to find. The area felt very safe. The staff managed to solve any problems I had quickly and easily, whilst being friendly and charming. All in all, a great stay, thank you kindly.
