The reception staff were very friendly (and put up with my mauvais français without hassle!). It is a bit of a long walk from the closest metro (Bel Air), so I wouldn't recommend it if you have heavy luggage, but otherwise I thought it was good value for money considering I had a room and bathroom (albeit a bit like an airplane bathroom) to myself for about $50AUD. And you can't knock free wi-fi, though it'd be great if there was wi-fi in the rooms as well, just not the common area.

Excellent value for money in Paris. Rooms are small but essential things are there ! Convenient location : very close to "gare de Lyon". The hostess had difficult time to find my reservation (luckyly I printed it) and she didn't know how to gat the hotelworld price (their price was higher). With the help of her manager, she finished finding a solution... So, you'd better print your reservation with amount due on arrival.

Upon arrival at the hostel on Jan. 2, the front desk clerk could not find my reservation. I had just gotten in from an international flight and had been lost, looking for the hostel (on foot) for over an hour. Luckily, I had taken down the hostelworld.com reservation number and the € amount needing to be paid. This helped, but the clerk still could not find my reservation. I was set up with a room and the excuse was that I booked my room on a holiday! I still don't understand the problem.
