Good hostel to stay in St. Kilda

Good hostel, really comfy beds and great helpful staff.

Thanks for the great review! Hope to see you back here soon :)

It is in the heart of St Kilda, and is only a 5 minute walk down to the tram to get into the city, and also to the beach. We stayed here for 8 nights and each day the rooms and bathroom was cleaned. It could be quite noisy at night, but it was over new year, I heard he guy on the reception telling people to keep the noise down and to go out after 11pm which is good.

Good hostel to meet people, and spill some beers! If you like a drink go to this hostel.

Nice big private double room, bit rough round the edges but good value for money

This hostel is in one of the best locations in Melbourne and the atmosphere around the place is great! The bathrooms are cleaned daily and the staff were okay.

The staff are what makes Home. Generous with information, willing to share their time and excellent at reducing ambient static electricity.

Great Hostel, stayed in the private room w/ensuite would recommend a room away from the central courtyard as the noise reverberates through but the team do a great job in wrapping it up during the night.

The internet is a bit of an outdated system, if it worked. Good atmosphere though being that it is a motel. Can be a bit loud at times, but that's why I always bring ear plugs with me.

Very nice shower, my bunk bed (top) was ok (good bed and sheets) the only thing was that the safety bar was broken. What I didn't like was the loud music all day (ttill late) outside the room in the courtyard. For that reason and that there no lockers in the room make me not return here.

A hostel for those who don't mind being woken up/kept awake a bit. They do have a music off policy at 11pm which definitely works, but because of the layout of the place noise travels as the communal areas are just the floor below the bedrooms. Curtains very flimsy. But hey I am a light sleeper. Found the hostel quite daunting as everyone congregated around the entrance and some weren't overly friendly. However very close to St Kilda and good if you're looking for a happy go lucky kinda place!

One of those hostels that you want to go back to.Good company for morning coffee, or evening beer and movie.Bit expensive, however I think for Melbourne it is quite avarage price. St.Killda has good connection with the city too.I shall return

Thanks guys! I had a really great time with you. I'll recommend Home (and already have) on my travels! ...For those wanting to stay- This place is ace. It is exactly what its called. It's a Home, and its occupants are more like a family. Traveling alone there was no cliquieness. Its close to everything you need and the staff are all friendly which i found really refreshing. ...Ill def come back Home before i leave Aust :D

Liked the Motel-style of the place, but it was very loud in the evening and the room has seen better times. Guy who was there when we checked in was nice and friendly through.
