Hongdae Guesthouse 2.0 is great! Love the atmosphere and overall feel of this hostel. Was clean and staff were very friendly. Very close to Hongik University subway station which was very helpful as well. My only complaint was that the heat in the room was set at a ridiculously high temperature and it was uncomfortable to sleep. Staff insisted that we stop turning down/off which I thought was strange. However, I will recommend this hostel to friends and I will be back.

What should I say? This must be the BEST hostel that I have ever stayed! Yellow Submarine made me feel like I have a home in Korea, everyone treats us like close friends. Good location (near subway), extremely friendly and helpful staffs, clean environment..I have nothing more to expect, as yellow submarine has it all!! I will miss you guys Kim, Choi, Suk, Hoon, Simon and all the friends:) I would miss Simon's cooking! By Show, Kate and Kia, from Malaysia.

I enjoyed the stay. The staff are very friendly, English speaking and helpful. The location is great, just 3 min walk straight from a subway station. Would love to stay here during my next visit.

Overall, really good. Would have liked some more information on stuff to see/places to eat in the immediate area (which BBQ joints, bars, or clubs the staff would recommend). I was given the advice that everything's pretty good... which is not really what I want. Location is excellent and really close to the airport train line. That's a huge plus if you're coming into Seoul late. The common area was a bit small, but it made it feel more cozy like crashing someone's apartment.

Very wonderful experience. Awesome location, just on the edge of the Hongdae University district and a 2 minute walk from the subway (with direct access to the airport line.) Greg was manager while we were there and couldn't have been more helpful. He organized a DMZ tour for us last minute and made sure we knew our way around the city and felt welcomed at the hostel. Very clean conditions, plenty of bathroom/showers and comfortable common area.

The hostel is very clean and pretty. We lived in a family room with a private toilet. The toilet is clean and big! We love it. The room is very close to the common area, we can always go out and meet different people. The staff is very nice too!

Very good hostel: the staff is very nice, good rooms. Atmosphere is quite calm and friendly. Near the subway station. I would try to stay in one of the upper rooms, though, they seem nicer than the basement one.

This hostel is located about a 3-minute walk from Hongik metro exit no. 3. It is about 8 minutes from the entrance to the walking district of Hongdae. The managers are amazingly nice guys who speak perfect English. Call them and they will direct you to the front door, or even come out and meet you on the street. Newly refurbished, funky decor, plenty of bathroom space, awesome deck on first floor, and balcony on second floor. Fair prices.

Helpful staff who make you feel like you are welcome and not just another guest. It felt more like staying at a friends house than a hostel.
