Our stay in Marrakech was above expectations. The location is great as subway station is literally beneath the hotel and central park is just 5 min jogging away. Yet the neighborhood is quiet and nice, which allows for a good night sleep after a crazy rhythm of an NYC day. The most pleasant surprise was a great variety and quality of restaurants on Amsterdam avenue nearby. The facilities and staff of the hotel were good and we didn't have anything to complain about.

The room was nicer and bigger than we expected. They even upgraded our room, even though it wasn't necessary for only 2 people. The location is great, the subway is literally right across the street. Bed was comfortable. Really like the decor. The water took a minute or two to get hot, but after that it was fine. The room overall was clean, however, underneath the bed, we did spot a few things that weren't cleaned up previously.

I was very impressed by the Marrakech Hotel. In was a great value and the service we received was great. The only downside is the amount of stair, but for what I paid it was completely understandable. Also, the lobby was beautiful.

It is like a hostel so do not expect a hotel. We were 4 people living in a two dubble bed room. It was small but cozy. Clean and friendly staff. I liked it

I think it's a really bad idea that the hotel 'hold' the full payment on a card until you check out. They did this with the card I paid my deposit on, without my authority (I gave them totally different card details for the balance payment) and this blocked almost £1000 of money on my card. I had to call my bank in the UK to transfer further funds etc because of this. A huge inconvenience and I wasn't even informed!

Pleased by Marrakech - 1/2 hostel 1/2 hotel. I liked: subway < a block away, bus also nearby; staff was friendly and helpful; bed was very comfortable with a great comforter; room was as advertised, with private bath. Things you should know, not negative, just be aware: lack of elevators - open the door to the hotel and face a flight of stairs immediately, and rooms may be 2 flights above that -staff helps lug luggage, if needed. Wifi only works in the lobby. Rooms are clean, small, but comfy.

It's more like a Hostel with room service. It has no elevator (up to 4 flors) and the internet is very slow, but the staff is helpful and knows about the city or activities. They will try convince you to book things like Outlet ans Shuttles-bus due the Hotal, because they gain an amount, it not the cheapest way but is simpler.

Cosy but clean hotel, I was surprised to find it very comfortable for this price in NYC. Very convenient to the subway, plenty of places to eat nearby. A short walk to Central Park too. Helpful staff, especially handy to have someone available to carry heavy bags up and down all the stairs. Would have preferred in-room wifi, though!

Nice clean hotel, the staff can't do enough for you, and the subway right outside the door brings you directly to any major seight in New York.

When in vacation, nowadays, a wifi access is almost mandatory. To have it in the main lounge only and with such poor performances is really much of a problem. Please upgrade your wireless infrastructure!

Marrakech on 103 & Broadway is in a vibrant neighborhood, with close transportation to any place in Manhattan. The hotel's decor is distinctively pleasant, personnel extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was a good size for its price with crisp. clean linen and good housekeeping. There is no elevator; so if climbing stairs is a challenge, the Marrakech would not be right for you. To everyone else I give the place a hearty recommendation.

Couldn't have more positive things to say! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is a bit out of the main tourist attractions but the train is right by the hostel so it wasn't an inconvenience. Great place!

We stayed in NYC for a few nights and this was a great place. Right next to a subway station so we could easily get around the city. Mostly college-aged kids so it can get a little loud at night but it was fine for us. Great value, probably one of the nicer places you can get in the city for the price we paid. Would recommend and go back.

The cleaning stuff was very noisy at 8:00am, because they shouted behind our doors and woke us up. Apart of that everything was great.

We loved this hotel so muh we stayed an extra night. Starbucks is right outside as is one of the main subway lines. Friendly staff, clean rooms, hot water for the shower. Would stay there again and recommend it to anyone!

We were excited to be staying in a room that was Moroccan themed like the rooms are in the pictures, however it is only the lobby that's themed and the rooms are very plain and small. However the rooms where clean and cheap which is what we were looking for and it was in a good location near central park and the subway.
