This place was amazing for the price! Swimming pool is lovely, staff are very helpful (even if we're not good tippers), can hire bikes which mitigates the distance into the old quarter (about a 5 minute ride), really nice breakfast included (fresh omelette cooked in front of you, pastries and fruit etc). Room was clean and beautiful (smelled a tiny bit damp though), shower was built for shorter people (shower head too low for us to use comfortably from the wall). Luxury for 6 bucks a night!

Very fancy place for only 25 dollars a night. Location is a ten minutes walk out of the city center, I like that because it's very quiet at night. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice. There was only one strange thing, the rooms was quite damp, I've got not a clue how come.

I was severely dissappointed with the Phuong Nam Hotel. I had emailed and tried to book trains months in advance(very poor service in terms of answering emails - our pick-up request was also duly ignored), and had had several telephonic conversations with the staff prior to our stay where they assured me that they would be able to book a train upon our arrival. When we arrived, the train had not been booked and was sold out, as were the busses. We were left stranded in Hoi An!

Very nice value for money villa, nice pool but it was too cold for us to use it. Location is a little far but if you take a bicycle it's ok. The Hotel also has a shuttle that runs every hour, very convenient. The staff was very nice.

Beautiful modern room, clean and good value, but its a bit far from town (about 15 min walk)and there were no shuttle buses during Tet so we moved out after one night. If it had been closer I would have stayed.

Even though we had to pay for two double rooms for three of us we stil thought the pool and the rooms we're excellent value, the pool was lovely and always empty. They do run a shuttle bus into town every hour but we ended up walking the 20mins jounrey most of the time whch wasnt too bad but did get a bit frusting,. Breakfast wasnt great in comparison to other places and the hotel didnt have as much atmosphere as other ones we've stayed but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Nice place, a bit far out of town but only a 15 minute walk or so.. also the free shuttle comes regularly. Very clean and nice, staff helpful etc. obviously not much of a party place, but then no where in Hoi An is!

The rooms were nice. Noise from construction nearby. Buffet breakfast wasn't bad (good omelettes), but I kept finding tiny bugs in the pastries, muffins, and baguettes all 3 days I was there. The receptionist also tried to rip us off by charging us a higher exchange rate (21,500 dong per US dollar) than what it really was that day (only 21,000 dong). We looked it up online and pointed this out to her, and she relented, but the hassle put us behind schedule so that we were late for our flight.

The facilities were good and it was nice to have a pool. Overall the location was bearable if you hired the bikes for 1US$ per day. Having said this if I was to go back to Hoi An I would stay closer to the town itself. The hotel seemed more interested in it,s own agenda than your trip in particular trip and this soured the stay somewhat. If staying here have plenty of cash as we learnt we could only use card for our room booking. All other laundry, mini bar and tour service required cashs

Great rooms in the heart of the Old Quarter. Staff was helpful and professional. The tour to Halong Bay on the San Souci boat we booked through the hostel was excellent value for the money. Definitely recommended.

We had a lovely stay at his hotel. The free breakfast is great with a lot of choice and we enjoyed the buffet style. Even though it is not centrally located (15 minute walk into town, 5-7 minute bicycle ride), the hotel provides an efficient shuttle service on the hour every hour to go into the centre of Hoi An. It is also very nice to enjoy a swin after a day of visit. We have recommended it already and we will continue to do so.

This is a hotel rather than a hostel, however it is excellent value for money. A little out of town but only a 15 minute walk and they also offer a free shuttle to town and back every hour. They also have a postal service to send your newly purchased tailored clothes back home!

Although the location is a little bit out of town, but the shuttle service was excellent and very punctual. The map made by the hotel was helpful, so as the receptionist. The only problem would be that the facilities were not working properly. The shower did not function well and wifi was week in the room.

Not bad but next time I'm in hoi an i would stay much closer to the old town as the shuttle bus was a hassle. It was walkable but it's not a nice route and since it was monsoon season we got regularly drenched... A shuttle to the beach would've been more useful as walking 4 km put us off the idea.no complaints about the room, service and security. Breakfast (included in our room) was thebest we had in Vietnam so far! ESpecially the fresh fruit and omelette bar...

Decent, clean place for the cost. A little out of the way but as mentioned the shuttle bus is convenient, or just get a motorbike (though not from the actual hotel, they're well overpriced). Swimming pool and breakfast are great. Staff were happy to help. The first b&w photocopied map they give you is pretty misleading though, it makes the beach look walking distance when its really a few kilometres. Ask for the more detailed tourism authority one or you'll probably get lost.

Really loved this place, so much so we stayed for 6 nights. By far one of the cheapest, yet most comfortable, well presented rooms we've stayed in. The staff were always really helpful, the hotel porters were fantastic - always smiling and willing to help. Breakfast was average - but it's FREE so you can't really complain. All in all we really enjoyed our stay, especially cycling around the town in the evening. Book a cooking class through reception - Tra Que Herb Village - amazing!

Beds were really uncomfortable. Air conditioning did not work very well. Hotel is about an extra 15-20 walk from city center, but does offer a free shuttle. Pool was very nice.
