Feels like my grandmother's house in an old, affluent urban neighborhood in Illinois. It's cozy and has a nice older city character. As for going outside, this is among the only guesthouses literally in the midst of Hongdae area. So, no walking for 10 minutes to get there. Yet, the location is quiet. It is also one of the smaller guesthouses in Seoul, and public space is on the same floor as sleeping quarters. This can be a little good and bad. Oh, the host is not like my grandmother ;]

Seriously the friendliest guesthouse I have ever stayed at. In the evenings the family and the guests sit around and eat together, drink and share stories. It is just like staying with old friends. I got good tips on places to go, restaurants to eat at, I even got food cooked for me. :) I can't recommend the place highly enough. Thanks!
