Staff weren't that helpful, on check in I was given my key and then ignored. On returning to the front desk, they had sold out of locks for lockers some of which were broken and towels were not available, showers were cold and the room had remnants of backpackers who had long checked out. Nice vibe around the pool but if you're not a big partier there's better places to stay for less in Hoi An.

Good if you want to go out all the time and be surrounded by 18 year olds on their gaps years. Bathroom was dirty and water didn't drain at all, pool was murkey. Breakfast was only redeeming feature.

Really lovely place, easy to meet other travelers. The pool is fantastic!

Busy place in hoi an, great reception area and people behind the desk are really helpful. Pool area and bar area are busy all day and get really busy at 8pm. Food is great, try the fried mozeralla, you will not regret it. Room was big and bathroom too, only thing the bath looks like its never been bleeched..yuk! Can see why people label it a party hostel, theres plenty of places for a drink nearby. Rent a bike and explore. Perfect stay for 4 nights.

where to begin, booked a 6bed dorm and recieved an 8 bed dorm (this happened to everyone and staff didnt care once questioned), super squeaky bunk beds, sheets unchanged between guests, pointless key card system for electrics that woke everyone up on late arrivals as it turns on all bright lights! Rude staff all round, atmosphere to be desired. overall a huge let down after hearing the hype.

Ignoring the rude staff, this place was great! Equidistant from the beach and the old town, it's the perfect place to slow down, have a cocktail, get some clothes made and eat Bahn Mi! Breakfast buffet was laughable but hey, when in Vietnam! Would defo stay again!

There were no lockers in our room and the bathroom didn't seem to be cleaned very regularly. When I first asked about airport transfer from the hotel I was told to go to the shop across the street which was confusing as my friend had just booked a taxi with the hotel a few hours earlier.

Great location and a pool is always nice but the staff could be some of the worst in the whole region. For all it's party benefits, Sunflower is not only expensive but is run by some of the most unfriendly, unhelpful, surly and mean hostel staff you will meet in Vietnam.

Was an Ok hostel, did meet other travellers, though was partially spoiled by the "Brits on tour" group who were being drunken idiots while they were there. Other than that the place was ok and the free buffet breakfast was good too.

Unless you really want the Brit abroad drink all day experience this probably isn't the hostel for you. Good to meet people and is good for a drink but some very large parties just spent entire days by pool. Wifi poor, staff not overly helpful and had dirty linen on my bed when I arrived

Really liked this hostel! Big, very popular, easy to meet people and the food was great and good value for money. Breakfast was really good and the overall atmosphere in the hostel was fantastic. Hoi An was already a great place to be, so this was just an added bonus!

Good pool, good breakfast, pretty sociable. Breakfast staff were rude - especially the pancake lady who would never smile and would just look guests up and down. Location is pretty out of the way. I would say it's overpriced.

Great hostel with friendly staff, yes they shout but it's a joke and not to be taken seriously! The pool is great and the food and bar are all perfect. It is a party hostel and there is a lot of people drinking and having fun. If this isn't your thing the. You may not enjoy it here but I had a great stay in a well run hostel.

The rooms are alright but the beds are very squeaky. I guess the best part of the hotel is the pool where you can hang with people all day long :)

The worst hostel I've been to in my life. Everywhere smelled like urin, the room, the sheets, not to mention the toillet which smelled like everything bad... even the lobby smelled like urin! Dirty sheets, dirty walls with feet marks all over, disgusting floor. Full of drunk and rude kids. This was what I found after a 24h bus ride. Only stayed for one night, than immediately changed to another hostel. Run from this place and don't look back!

Dare to be different and dont stay this hostel - its fun cos its sociable, but its massively overpriced and to be honest the dorms themselves are pretty rubbish and not cleaned properly at all

It is most definitely the place to stay in Hoi An... the moment you get there and meet people, the first thing anybody asks is ´Are you staying at the Sunflower??, however I found the staff serving outdoors to be very rude. I understand it was during the World Cup, so they must have a lot of drunk people to put up with, but it really did make a difference when they seemed so loathed to offer a smile.
