staff were very rude and looked pissed off, they overcharged us for our room, only after about half an hour of talking to them did they sort out the problem. it's overpriced, you can get exactly the same (minus the breakfast) for about half the price if you have a look round.

THIS IS A PARTY HOSTEL. Keep this in mind if you want to sleep in the dorms. On my first night a drunken passed-out, gap year Brit was carried into her bunk bed above mine. Then her friends came in turned on the lights, talked loudly and acted obnoxiously. By the time they settled in it was 5:30 AM. My day was ruined. On the ground floor people are screaming in the hall throughout the wee hours of the morning.

The hostel is rather cool, although it's totally a party hostel. The pool was a blessing given how hot Hoi An was. The main problem I had was the staff. When I checked in, I asked a lady at the reception for a towel. She said its on the bed. So I went back to check and it wasn't there. So I went to tell her that, and she said its in the toilet. Which it wasn't. So I went back to her again, and she asked in a rather accusing tone whether I checked. Fortunately a slightly older woman (I think the

Extremely nice and polite staff. Booked room for 3 ppl but got a room for 4 at the same price.Breakfast is amazing,as well as buy 1 get 1 cocktail free, garden bar and pool.Definitely a place to meet people. Perfect Wifi. Very clean. BUT - located far away from the sea, 4,5 kilometers.+Don't leave any $ in the room because I got 50$ stole by the room-maid.But, after all, it's Vietnam. Read more in my blog: www.leopardplanet.com

Wonderful buzz at this hotel that has an energetic flow of travellers throughout - constantly. The pool and bar courtyard is the hub of activity over cocktails/beers

Hoi An badly needs another actual hoste Staff were very rude and indifferent to customers. Booked a "private" car to the train station and they said they would attempt to find people to share if they were going at the same time. Met a women in the lobby when I was leaving who wanted to share and they mentioned nothing to her. They then tried to get her to pay full price to go in my "private" car. "Private" car was actually a mini-bus that picked up four other people from their sister hostel.

Nice staff but overpriced and in a bad location. Also the pool area is in the shade after midday.

We really enjoyed are stay at Sunflower, it was a little bit pricey however you get what you pay for as there is a pool, cheap good food, massive free buffet breakfast, towels supplied, comfortable beds. Very nice and friendly staff. The location is a little bit out of the city but you can hire cycles from outside the hotel for a $1 a day, bargain!

The hostel is exactly in the middle between the old town and the beach. Perfect for sightseeing and chilling out. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Staff could be a little friendlier, especially when you arrive in the morning after a night in a sleeper bus.

Staff weren't accommodating. Refused to let us check in before noon, without even asking our name or checking if the room was ready, then they had the nerve to call us up in the afternoon and ask what time we were checking out the next day. Restaurant food was average (better off heading out, turning left and going to the second restaurant along). Swimming pool was a highlight, along with the bar. Great place if you want to meet young people, lots of backpackers. Overall ok, but won't return.

A little expensive and the staff are not overly helpful. But a clean place with a good breakfast...

Good location, easy to get to town or the beach. Staff were friendly, but the place was so busy they were a bit overworked. Lockers weren't very sturdy, and our room lock was broken so we couldn't lock it. Rooms and bathroom were clean, and the shower was even in a separate area! This is the busiest place for backpackers in town, so booking in advance is often necessary. Finally, the free breakfast is really very good, heaps of good food not just toast and coffee.

Nice hotel/hostel. Staff was helpful and the location was great. They include a buffet style breakfast that was really good. Although it has a pool area and lots of young people like to party there, I had no problems with noise or sleeping.

I have been traveling for one a year staying at many hostels. This is by far the rudest staff that I have encountered. You can tell that they hate their job here except for this nice chubby guy that works at the front desk and the nice lady who does the checkout. They turn off the lights without telling anyone anything at all, even if you are in the middle of a game of pool. 2 times my friends got ignored when they had a question. The only + is it is easy to meet other backpackers here.

Very good place to stay to meet people, food is nice and also cheap. Very nice pool to swim in when it gets to hot. The location is alright, to the main sights like the bridge it's quite a walk. Was to far in the sun but only a short taxi rode away

The breakfast was very good. the pool is lovely and the rooms were nice too. The pick up from the bus stop and the shuttle bus in to town was a great help. The staff were very helpful. However I would not rate the My Son sunrise tour on offer as very good. You see the sun rise from the car and the guide fell asleep during the journey!

The staff is very friendly, they always sang to me my favourite song and even they knew my name, Jesus from Nazareth. Only one girl was not smiling so good but i changed her with my love. The breakfast is excellent, really good! You can find nice people and the others, first world party mamas boys and girls who doesnt know hoe to smile. It´s a party hostel so dont expect to sleep at night.. i woke up at 3 am because my roommate was making an orgy with two girls, so i joined them, it was great!

By far one of the best hostels I've been to. Great staff, very fun place, and just a good time in general. I had trouble leaving! Oh and the nice pool with lounge chairs and amazing buffet breakfast were nice bonuses too. Totally worth it.

Fun place to meet people!

This was one of the best backpackers we've been to. The only downside really was the speakers in the bar downstairs - they struggled with the bass, so they could be replaced. I've read plenty of reviews about this place complaining about the staff attitude - we didn't see this at all - rather, I think there's two possible explanations for this: (1) people being unreasonable to the staff, (2) not knowing how Vietnamese people speak (they sometimes seem like they're yelling). Great place to stay
