Check in was easy and the front desk is staffed almost all the time. Room was very clean and had a towel provided. Bathrooms were not as clean with the showers being pretty dirty; however, the price is quite good for having a private room. Washers and dryers are on everyfloor and are quite cheap too.

The room itself is good. The kitchen and washroom were not clean. Water kettle is barely functional,no tea towel nor paper towel, I therefore hardly used the kitchen. The washroom was not cleaned frequently. On top of it, people stayed there seemed not to know how to use toilet properly. Toilets were not flushed, toilet paper were out, and I even saw someone using her foot instead her hand to pull the toilet handle. Our young generation are so technologically proficient, yet with no life skills.

Most things were good. Except for the pantry. It was absolutely dirty and disgusting. Reason being the left behind students still staying at the rooms leave their cutlery unwashed in the sink. The ventilation for the kitchen is very bad as it is all closed up and the smell from the cooking permeates the entire floor. I was staying at level 3 of 45 Willcocks street. Leaving students were dumping their rubbish on the floor as the bins were full.

A great stay at wonderful price. This is a student residence, so your room might be a worn out, but the building is well taken care of and safe. I guess it could be noisy during certain times of the year (as some have said) but it was dead quiet (and empty) when I stayed at the end of June. Staff seems to always be at the counter, and you can leave your bags if you arrive too early to check in. Location is close to a streetcar station for downtown/Union Station.

Great central spot. Hard to figure out where it was at night. Not very well lit. Parking is not close. Security was great. Simple and basic accommodation. Great value for money.

Nice! Staff is friendly and helpful. Great Location: Shops and restaurants are a few blocks away. Streetcar stops right outside the buildings. Good value. Can be a bit noisy when there are groups of young (high school age) around.

UofT New College Residences are a great place to stay if you are okay with a student campus living experience (common washrooms, shower stalls, sometimes these are not super clean etc.) . Safe, covered overnight parking is conveniently located two blocks away. The location is along Spadina St route which has east streetcar (public transit) access to downtown core - CN tower, entertainment district area. Overall, a good experience. Highly recommended!

If you are booking a double with another person, it's a good deal. However, it is a dorm and so has dorm mattresses (the ones that are slightly thicker gym mats) without fitted sheets. Shared bathroom and kitchen, which didn't seem to have any plates or cups. It was fine.
