We have full self-catering facilities at Woodquay Hostel, which is ideal if you are on a budget. You can use the fully equipped kitchen to cook for yourself. We can also take care of your laundry and rent towels. We're an historic building, and don't have an elevator.

We are friendly & helpful and know Galway like the back of our hand.

Please note that if your arrival time is after 15.00hrs you must contact the hostel.

New in 2018 we have a separate 2-bedroom house that sleeps 4 guests (up to 5 on air mattress). Woodquay Terrace is in an ideal location for exploring Galway, just a stone's throw from Eyre Square. It's a lovely, bright & airy home with 2 large bedrooms and 2 outdoor Patio areas. Perfect for exploring Galway on foot and close to coffee shops, restaurants & bars.

A good place to stay, right near the river walk and very central. a little loud at night with the bars across the road but not a major problem if you bring earplugs. It did get pretty warm in the rooms, a fan or two to move the air around would be great. The only other problem would be the small amount of facilities, but as long as guests are respectful of others the wait isn't too long. Staff were amazing, very friendly and have a good amount of knowledge for things to do. Will stay again.
