This hostel is the most reasonably priced in galway. It doesn't have amazing facilities but it has a great social atmosphere a great option for cash concious travellers like myself

This place smelled awful, which is no surprise considering no one wants to take a ice cold shower, which was the only option. Friendly staff though and good location. The toast and jam breakfast was the best part. Will probably stay somewhere else next time around.

Good hostel. You can't access the kitchen during the overnights I don't know if it makes sense. Last time I stayed there, I Heard about another room a group making a kind of 'party' and the staff told to another people who didn't like this idea that it is normal for New Year's Eve. I like parties but I think bedroom is a sacret place to take a rest. Besides that all were good.

Really helpful staff and a nice room. The bathroom was a bit grotty though. Nice breakfast and lounge area.

Bathroom a little dirty, but kitchen well-equipped, door people lovely (good security, although lockers in the rooms would have been great), and the location is just a short walk from the bus station!

The staff was so friendly and helpful--maybe the best hostel staff I've had!

Access through the front door was only possible by using the loud buzzer and waiting for the receptionist to let you in. It's not crucial but i like to come and go as i please. Of 2 staff that i met Cahal was friendly polite and helpful but the Mancunian in the mauve tracksuit was an angry suspicious unfriendly oaf and spoiled my evening.

We loved staying at Woodquay Hostel. It's well located, it's clean (except the stove) the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. It's a small hostel, the kitchen and the dining/living room were certainly very tiny for so many people during breakfast and dinner, but it feels very familiar at the end of the day, with guests and staff chatting and laughing together in the same room. Would totally stay there again.

We had a great stay here! Ended up staying an extra night. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, and had a great big kitchen which came in handy. Great place to stay for a night or a week, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

In a good location and some decent common areas. The kitchen is pretty big. Not the cleanest place and no soap in the bathrooms is pretty gross. Kenneth is a great guy.

My stay here would have been a disaster (due to unfortunate roommates, not the facility itself) had it not been for James and the staff at the Woodquay. The staff was incredibly caring and protective of their patrons, and I ended up making friends with them. Other than that, I would recommend getting a room with its own bathroom because the showers for the whole floor were a bit clogged when I got there.
