Hostel of the Week: MEININGER London, Hyde Park

This hostel really takes the biscuit with its 8.2 fabulous rating from over 2,000 reviews and a royal seal of approval from THE QUEEN herself! The hostel just happens to be in Baden-Powell House, named after the founder of the scout movement and our Queen Elizabeth II is in fact the patron of British Scouts, hence the splendiferous statue outside!

Fittingly, it’s in the rather dashing borough of South Kensington, opposite the Natural History museum and within walking distance of central London – oh and did we mention Buckingham Palace is down the road?! It’s no wonder our visitors gave it a 9.1 location rating with it being the perfect base for your London adventures and night time shenanigans, however if you need some zen, the blissful Hyde Park is at your feet.

Space is rare in London but Meininger has it in spades with a spacious lobby (stick around, they often serve free drinks and treats – brownie anyone?!) terrace, games room, bistro room and bar. The icing on the Victoria Sponge cake has to be the impeccably clean rooms, modern decor and delightful staff. Take it from our customers…
