BVJ Champs-Elysées sits right in the centre of the famous Golden Triangle of Paris landmarks. We reckon buildings don’t get much prettier than this! Our not-for-profit hostel is in a stunning 1800s mansion house. It’s open 24/7, and has been every day since 1948 – so no rushing home from a great night out. We've also got a bar with soft drinks that’s open round the clock. Tuck into our free French buffet breakfast each day; when the sun’s shining, enjoy your croissants and coffee in our oh-so-French courtyard, complete with a fresco by the famous French painter, Henri Gervex.

Your home from home is in the safe and quiet Plaine-Monceau neighbourhood, which is just under 30 minutes’ walk from the retail therapy delights of the Champs-Elysées (when strolling with a fresh espresso in hand, it’ll feel even shorter). Other highlights like the Modern Art Museum are also only half an hour away on foot (don’t forget your camera). The closest Métro station is Wagram, just an 8-minute walk away. When it’s time to say "au revoir", jump on the Métro 2 line to Charles de Gaulle-Étoile and take the RER train to the airport..

A really beautiful hostel in a great location. The decor was definitely what I've usually encountered in budget hostels before. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was that there were no lockers, but otherwise my stay was fine and I would consider staying in this hostel again.

Very secure place. We had issues with moving rooms throughout our stay due to the hostels schedule issuesThe rooms get pretty warm, but if you open the windows, you’ll have to deal with smoke and noise. When we were there, multiple school groups were staying as well. Obviously not the hostel’s fault but the children were very noisy. WiFi is pretty kitties to the main lobby. Showers and bathrooms were clean but a little stuffy due to ventilation issues. Staff was helpful but not always welcoming

My friend and I stayed here for two nights and it was an ok experience. It was our first hostel ever and it had a fantastic location. After visiting other hostels across Europe the experience here was nothing bad or nothing great. A lot of young 10 yr old kids running around for some reason. Bar isn’t really active

The location is great! Such a lovely place with the little terrace. I would say that having just one key for the whole room is a bit tricky. The gate that doesn't close during the day wasn't the best I was a bit worried that anybody could come in. The breakfast stops a bit early (9:15!) and the check out is also early (9:30). But I had bed bugs in my bed!! I told the staff, I've been beaten everywhere, awful. They let me changed my bed but let the other people of the room sleeping there.

Compared to other hostels, did not feel as welcome from staff. Rooms and beds were comfortable. The showers did not have any place to hang or put clothing while showering, it would have just gotten wet. Towels were expensive for the quality. Location was fine depending on what you wanted to experience - close to the arc and a metro station. Overall mediocre stay.

There is no wardrobes or etc in the rooms. Also you are not able to access to internet from rooms. On the other side they offer really nice breakfast and employees are nice.

During our stay someone broke into our locked suitcases and went through our stuff. We were in a 10 bed dorm with one key to share between everyone which means you have to rely on whoever leaves the room last to lock the door. As the door wasn’t locked, we couldn’t know who it was and the staff at the front desk didn’t do anything. I felt unsafe for the rest of my stay. The wifi also barely worked in our room.

I am not sure if my stay was a fluke because this place has nice reviews, but unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay here. Everything in the building was much older than I had expected. The bathroom had an odd mildew scent and the shower was frustrating. You had to constantly press a button for the water to stay on. On several occasions while I was in my room I saw a mouse running along the back walls behind the beds (opposite of mine). The breakfast & staff were nice but overall unpleasant stay.

I had bed bugs in my bed and the staff did not apologise or anything, when I requested a new bed they gave me some fresh sheets and that was it. There was only one key per room which meant the door was always unlocked if someone was in the room - no security. There was at least 3 different school groups there each night that we stayed and all were extremely loud. There were no facilities to cook our own meals if we wanted and no Laundry facilities.

The stay wasn’t good at all. The staff said the place was full and we couldn’t do an early check in, but when we took a look around we saw lots of beds available, even an entire room was empty. The staff couldn’t give us info not even where to eat nearby and couldn’t help us on getting to the airport. The beds are old, it doesn’t have a place to charge your phone and the average age was less than 18yo. By the time we were there it was also very noisy.
