I stayed here during New Years and it was great! It was far enough away from the main strip of bars to be quiet when you were ready for sleep, but still very close to everything that made walking easy.

Check-in was easy and quick, the staff was all very accommodating and polite, everyone was just looking for a place to sleep and doing their thing. They clean the beds, HOWEVER the room itself was very dusty and not super clean. Also the cleaning staff doesn't give a damn whether or not other people are in the room while they clean individual beds (in the bunked mixed dorms). They WILL waltz in and noisily clean the bed even when other people are in the room sleeping.

We were a group of 8 friends and stayed just for the week end. The dorms are cosy, the free breakfast in the morning is delicious and we had space enough to cook and eat together. We only had a problem with the showers: two out of four had no pressure at all... Despite that we had a good stay and the staff was adorable and gave us good advices to visit Galway

    Very Good

pretty hard to find an available toilet at this place, definitely not enough for the amount of people this hostel can hold! breakfast was okay, nothing special. cathedral and eyre square both a very short walk away, everything else (shop street, latin quarter, bars across the river, etc) within reasonable walking distance.

The hostel itself was alright, but there was a man in my room doing hard drugs the entire night and he never slept, kept the door cracked, and I hardly slept a wink. not much of a breakfast though and it seemed like there should’ve been a cool atmosphere but i didn’t see one

The hostel was really very bad. The door to the room was not locked when I got there, the hot water control in shower did not properly work, room was not clean, smelled unusual, and there was no natural light in the room. As well, it was very noisy, and it seemed like some of the guests in my room were living there full time instead of as temporary guests. I would not go there again. The staff however was very kind, and the location was great!
