Welcome to Tucano House Backpackers! For 19 years, we’ve been spreading joy, sunshine and the best island vibes in Florianópolis — a hostel built on friendship, community and unforgettable experiences.

We’re located on the magical island of Florianópolis (Brazil), owned and operated by a warm and outgoing mix of local & international staff who are passionate about showing you the real Floripa — from hidden beaches and jungle trails to nightlife, culture and delicious food.

Our rooms are sunny, spacious and cozy, perfect for relaxing after a beach day or for digital nomads working on home office mode. Fast Wi-Fi, plenty of natural light and good energy guaranteed.

We’re located in the heart of Lagoa da Conceição, a beautiful lagoon-side suburb known for its lively atmosphere, delicious restaurants, bars, surf shops and famous nightlife. From here, you're close to everything Floripa is known for — including the iconic Praia Mole and Joaquina, only 10 minutes away by car (or a beautiful 40-minute walk along nature).

One of the best hostel I stayed at, it really has a great vibe and makes you feel at home. The staff is awesome, facilities are perfect and the location is the best you can have to explore the island - they also have great tours at good prices to visit local and unknown places. Shout-out for the breakfast and for the dinners, just delicious!

Loved this hostel! Stayed here the last couple of days before they closed for the season. Highly recommend the dinners they do in the evening, the chefs are amazing. They organized something to do each evening as well. I stayed in the female dorm, no outlets near some of the beds but besides that great. Hostel was very clean and you can do laundry nearby at gringos. Staff was helpful if you had any questions.
