Welcome to Tucano House Backpackers! For 19 years, we’ve been spreading joy, sunshine and the best island vibes in Florianópolis — a hostel built on friendship, community and unforgettable experiences.

We’re located on the magical island of Florianópolis (Brazil), owned and operated by a warm and outgoing mix of local & international staff who are passionate about showing you the real Floripa — from hidden beaches and jungle trails to nightlife, culture and delicious food.

From here, you're close to everything Floripa is known for — including the iconic Praia Mole and Joaquina, only 10 minutes away by car (or a beautiful 40-minute walk along nature).
