What an amazing place! La Fortuna is incredible. The hostel is clean, quiet and peaceful. Gerald and his family were so helpful, kind and generous and made us feel so welcome. I would encourage anyone visiting La Fortuna to stay at the Pink Hostel.

Fabulous place to stay especially if you are a solo traveler. Gerald and his famliy were amazing hosts. Gerald was extremely friendly and always happy to help. The hostel is located slightly outside of the downtown area in a residential neighborhood which meant it was quiet at night. The hostel is the family home of Gerald and his brothers which has been converted into a private hostel. The host can help book many tours and runs a popular river tubing business. Highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in a private room at Pink Hostel and would happily stay again. The location is perfect, right in the heart of La Fortuna, and Gerald was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was affordable but quite hot without A/C, even with the fan. The bathroom had no hot water or sink, though a sink was available outside the room. For the price and Gerald's hospitality, it's an excellent budget stay.
