Couldn’t have been more lucky to stay here. I started to feel very ill and the owner (Suky) took me to the hospital. I had my appendix removed the next day! Suky also owns “homey hostel” I stand there on my visit back for my follow up appointment. If you book vLoft, book the 4 bed dorm as they ac is better. Homey hostel is only 2 streets away but is louder. (Ear plugs provided) due to the night market etc. Suky did everything she could to help me. I will always remember Ipoh! Lol

Clean and comfortable hostel. For solo women traveling I’m not sure I would recommend booking into the large/main room. There is no staff during the night and I was alone with a man which was not the most ideal situation. I was quite uncomfortable being alone with him and no one else in the building. I think this would be a good spot for people traveling in groups, but not solo.
