Krusty Hostel

It was ok, a little dirty, but had hot water. Main complaint is that in the dorm room, there is a single bathroom for 20 beds.

for the price you pay this place does the job. the bathroom situation was abysmal and the rooms pretty musty, as to be expected in a hiking hostel. most of the staff do not speak English so I found it hard to ask questions or requests but made it work. I did my Huayhuash with Krusty and loved it, but the hostel is not great. the free breakfast was nice and the kitchen balcony was lovely. rooms were cramped and dirty and only one shared toilet for two adjoining dorm rooms.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were able to check in early upon arrival from our night bus. We stayed before and after our Huayhuash excursion, and were able to stow our bags for no extra cost. Our private rooms were always spacious, and super clean. Showers are hot & have great pressure. The breakfast is yummy and terrace is lovely. The family that runs this place is kind and helpful, and very on top of things. Would stay here 100 more times if we were in Huaraz longer!
