Wow! We loved our staying at ‘cataleya’ hotel! First of all - the location. Really excellent, about 4 minutes walk from the Main Street, quiet street, never had any trouble sleeping :) Second, the staff - Mariela always choose great volunteers to help her out and she was amazing! Loved her and kept in touch even after we left. Mariela also have tours from her hostel and they have a discount. Really recommend:))) Love you Maru!

It may be cheap but it’s disgusting. I don’t think they have cleaned in months, the dorm rooms smelt like urine, the showers were clogged and taps had no running water. I asked the employee for a bed sheet as my bed did not have one and after looking for a while he handed me one which I was then told may another guest that he removed the used one from his own bunk and gave it to me. It states it’s Air conditioned but a fan would have worked better, it was cooler outside

It's actually not to bad. People are super nice. Very laid back and slow here. It is a little messy, and not as fancey as other locations, but it is a friendly vibe and when on a budget, good solid spot.
