Your hostel is a great place to stay. Its a quiet clean place. The best of all are the rental bikes. It was a great experience to discover Stockholm by bicycle. We only missed the window in our room. But we will recommend the 2kronor hostel to our frinds and come back one day! Thank you!

The impossibility of contacting staff (even through the after hours contact number) between the inconvenient check-in hours (9-11, 3-6) is a major hassle.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Not sure why you couldn't use the emergency number after office hours. We do have staff available in the hostel from 9am to 6pm every day.

Thank you, I felt very welcome and liked the hostel very much. Especially the young women at the reception were very friendly and helpful at any time - super service, TAK!

On Thursday morning (May 17) at 09:00 I reported to the reception that the shower head on the 2nd floor was broken and needed to be replaced. this would be "reported immediately" said Natalie at the desk. However, instead of simply replacing the shower head, it was taken out and there was no shower for the entire time we were there (till Sunday the 19th). ... If I had known, I would have bought a shower head in Clas Ohlsson and put it in myself the same day. Bad service, if not to say IGNORANCE!

I'm really sorry you felt this was due to ignorance, cause this was not the case. It is our highest priority to fix problems at the hostel asap in order to create a good guest experience. In this case a new shower was purchased on the 18th and put in place the 19th at noon. Obviously it was too long time this time in order to meet you expectations. I hope that you could enjoy other parts or your stay despite the hazzle with one of the showers.

The community rooms were too small. Because they were in the cellar, there is no daylight. The staff should be around more often and maybe offering some kind of breakfast or activities once in a while.

The worst kitchen that I've never seen: simply a mess! The rest was ok.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Wow! This was really a bad comment! Normally the kitchen gets very good comments and is highly appreciated. We will for sure investigate what happened during your stay and we sincerly appogize that we didn't meet your expectaion this time.

The hostel proper is very nice. It has a common room, a kitchen and computers for everyone to use. Rooms are small but sufficiently equipped. Reception only opens 3 hours a day (!). It's not very close to the tourist sites - if you're unfamiliar with the Swedish public transportation system you'll have to walk a lot. To its defence, there's an underground and a bus station right around the corner, which connect you with the rest of the city; a 7/11, a supermarket & restaurants are also nearby.

I'm glad that you liked our hostel and we appreciate your nice words. One correction though is that reception is open 9am to 11am and also 3pm to 6pm. In between there is staff in the hostel doing cleaning and maintenance which could assist our guests.

Can't more than agree! Normally we have big towels on each toilet. Not sure what went wrong this time but sometimes other guests use these towels after shower.....
