I spent 5 nights in a dorm room with my Boy friend there. This hostel is the cleanest and the best hostel i have been so far. Really good location in Gamla Stan , near buy Sodermalm. Staff is friendly and efficient. We arrive at 1.30 am and we had no problem to get there. THe price is valuable for Sweden, and you have a breakfast included, i would just say one "negative comment", some juice in the morning would be a +. Otherwise every thing was perfect, and very clean!
Great location to visit Stockholm, but we're very disappointed because they seriously messed up with our reservation, they made us waste our time while trying to fix it, and didn't even apologize for it.
Good location. I felt more like in a hotel than in a hostel. I missed hang-out areas to get in touch with other travellers. The breakfast is poor, there is always a huge line of waiting people and not enough seats for the hungry crowd. No cheese, juice or fruits like in many other hostels I´ve already visited. Our room (private with bath) was small but ok. One internet computer did not work. Scandinavian priced. Helpful and friendly staff.
WATCH OUT: When you book into a 6 bed dorm, chances are it will be a 9 bed. But you wont get money back because they are the same price. Breakfast is a small roll and jam/butter. Nothing else. Location is not so great, stay closer to the train station. Atmosphere is also not good in the hostel, no real communal setting or backpack focus. Receptionist did not know where the free waking tour or pub crawl left from - don't rely on them for info. Not enough showers on the top floor. Linen was incl.
The staff should provide a map for the hostel itself rather than Stockholm. Finding the breakfast room took 10 minutes, during which time we found two other kitchens. It would also be nice if the reception knew what ingredients their breakfast bread includes, in case somelike (like me) has allergies. I probably could have eaten everything on offer but had to stick with dry bread to be certain. Otherwise a very nice place. Dorm had very good ventilation. Would definitely stay there again.
Place was clean, staff was friendly. Very much just a place to sleep not any sort of social atmosphere.
It is what it is - a low-cost kinda place. Tons of people in the building, so not much atmosphere. No lockers in the biggest rooms, which makes security a bit of an issue. 24 hour reception is their solution. The 28 bed room felt like a penal colony, but the staff were incredible and let me upgrade on the spot to a private room, which was cozy and nice. Wifi was an issue everywhere in the building, and I had to have them reset the routers a bunch. But they did it - again, staff were great.
Good for one night but better to stay out of old town area for longer stays. Bathroom maintenance could be improved. Stockholm costs are sky high and worst in old town. Enjoy old city but stay outside.
great to have proper beds rather than bunks - in 6-bed dorm
I am 60 years old found the hostel excellent, staff very friendly and helpful and met lots of interesting people of all ages in a couple of days. One of my best hostel experiences ever.
The door to my room would keep getting stuck, causing people coming to bed late to make a lot of noise trying to open the door, apart from that it was a nice experience.
