Gerald & his family were so warm & welcoming - we loved staying with them and would recommend this hostel to others. Gerald was super helpful with advice & recommendations. One thing to note - this property is equipped more like a homestay than a hostel. For example, there are only 2 hobs in the kitchen, so it can be tricky if you want to cook at the same time as others. There is only 1 shared bathroom for 4 rooms (unless you have the ensuite room) so we were often waiting for it to be free.

It is a perfect stay in La Fortuna. Gerald, the host was very friendly and welcoming. He has a nice family and a lot of good friends. He always help when we need, answer our question immediately before our arrival as well. He gave us very good tips how to explore La Fortuna. We stayed 3 nights. The property was always clean, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom with hot water. The kitchen well equiped we were able to cook our dinner. The others good comments are 100% true.
