I spent three nights with my friend in the pink hostel and it was really good ! The owner Gerald is really nice, he is tour guide and shows us sloth and toucan the minute we arrived ! Also he gave me really good advice to take the bus to go to Nicaragua ! I recommend it for sure . He comes to clean the kitchen and bathroom everyday. He bring us fresh bread every morning and we also have free coffee and free tea !

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This is the safest, coziest, and most affordable place to stay in La Fortuna. The owner, Gerald, is so kind and attentive. He really puts in so much care into this place, like putting our fresh flowers was such a nice touch! He, his wife, and two daughters check in to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. As a solo female traveler, I have never felt more at home in another place than this Hostel here. It really feels like a home.

A very nice hostel with friendly people. It's not mentioned in the description, but there is a nice kitchen to use. I enjoyed the sloths hanging around the area and Gerald did a nice job showing us around. He had the keys to an empty house and found out there was a mama sloth at eye level with a baby that we could go look at up close which was really cool. Usually they are only high up in the trees. My room had a new mattress which was very comfortable.
