The location of the hostel is right at the pier, but a 20 minute walk to Sairee beach, so if you don't kind a walk along the beach to get to the busier area then it's a great location. The rooms are good, there are lockers and the bunk beds have a partition between them for a bit of privacy. The air con is good. The staff are very helpful and friendly and always give good recommendations. The only bad thing about this hostel is the smell at the toilet area- they absolutely stink!
No communal area to hang out
Staff was really nice with giving tips on activities and flexible with different arriving time. Location is pretty cool, the pier is just few steps away. Walking distance to the area with more action and great place to start your trip around the island from. They offer discounts at stores/bars next door, which is pretty cool. A bit smelly toilets weren't bothering us too much. Aircon in the room-NICE!
Loved the staff, the rooms were clean and the whole underground theme is cool with all the random fact sheets everywhere. The bathrooms are great. The partions in the room are good for privacy but also make it hard to socailise but i was a lone traveler and still made friends :). It's a good hostel I would stay again for sure

Really happy with my stay here (accidentally stayed an extra night but they were really cool about it) the staff were really helpful and understanding. Good showers and toilets, lovely cold air con. Only thing slightly lacking was no common space but I met loads of people in the room or on the patio bit outside so it didn't really matter. I've already reccomended this place to other people and would definitely stay again! :)
Great place to stay right on one of the main streets straight off the ferry.. Just walk up to your left. Staff friendly and helpful! A/c and clean toilets
Great little hostel, great location and as its so small you get to know everyone so quickly. Owner is a down to earth guy how will even buy you a beer or two. Other employees are all very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Security is very good, dorms are very clean and beds are comfortable and its very cheap, what more can you ask for!!!!!!! I would definately stay here again
The pros - Helpful staff, great location, free snorkeling gear and Reef Bar opposite is a great place to hang out with free pool. The Norwegian girl who works on the desk is also smoking hot! The cons - rooms are dark and dingy, the toilet / shower area smells very bad and is loud in the hostel as there is no cloth or proper floor so it's echoey and you can hear everything everyone is saying whether they're in your room or the bathroom! It's an OK hostel overall but could use a bit of work...
Would stay here again! Good value for money, clean and staff couldn't be more helpful!

We planned to stay at this hostel for a couple nights but just kept extending! The staff here are amazing, Rolf was so kind and funny and really made us feel like we were part of the family. The bar over the road is also a great place to hang out, there really is no need for a common area when this is directly opposite. Dorms are nice a dark for if you want to sleep during the day and each bed has a light and plug too. Loved loved loved koh tao and the hostel. I want to be back already!
Wonderful staff with helpful advice! Comfy and large beds. Nice air conditioning. Extra blankets on request if chilly. Discounts all around town and use of snorkel gear for free. Bathrooms smelly but still clean. No towels, but can get a nice one for 200THB next door t hostel. Small lockers but security cameras in dorms. Private feeling with divider walls between bunks. Small but nice balcony area. Near lots of restaurants, bars, and street food options. Would definitely stay again.
Awesome staff! Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great location, great security, great hostel.
The good: •The location is great, 2 min walk from the piers. •The main staff are European, so there are no language problems. •You also get a discount at a few places, including the bar opposite "Reef", which is basically the common room, as there isn't one in the dorms. •The security is good as they have cameras overlooking the lockers. •The toilets and showers are cleaned regularly. The bad: • It smells of damp, although the toilets/showers are clean. • No common room/area
Great staff and a nice place but the bathrooms smell horribly. They're cleaned frequently but I think it's due to the sewage system?! Still a very nice place to stay!! Would go there again
Hostel was near the pier but far from everything else. Bathroom/toilet area was smelly. It's okay for sleeping but if you're looking meeting people it's not the best place.
It's a perfectly run hostel with a helpful staff, free snorkeling mask to rent and discounts for some bars. The guys also run the travel agency so rent your bike there, they are trustworthy.
Good location and very nice staff. they are very welcome.

Pros: Aircon works really well, the guy at the reception is really nice and helpful and you can meet lots of people even though the hostel doesn't have a common room. Cons: Bathrooms smell funny (but I guess this is a general problem on the island itself), quite overpriced for what you get (specially for being in a 14-bed dorm) Altogether I would recommend this hostel despite of its cons!
A decent hostel in a very touristy part of Koh Tao. We spent one night here and that was definitely enough. There was a pungent smell coming from the downstairs bathroom. The one plus side is the staff was very nice and helpful.
