Location is good, and it just takes you about 10 mins from pier, in this case, you don't need woory about high price of taxi in Koh Tao, and staff is so friendly, and showed me everything in hostel, which was so nice! and even there's not any comom area for travelers, and you may spend your time in bar aross the hostel, and you can take your key to get discount in the bar. and I think the wahsroom is okay, not so smelly like others said.

Good place to stay, short walk from the ferry. Was very clean, and staff were friendl and helpful.

Overall I had an ok stay, nothing was excellent but not bad either. Good location, right next to the piers, 15 minutes walk to Sairee beach and 30 minutes to Sairee village. Many good restaurants nearby. Wifi worked fine during the days but in the evenings it slowed down. I didn't dive so I was alone most of the time as everyone else was out in the sea. Toilets are smelly and showers not so appealing. Bed ok, light didn't work. Would recommend if you're traveling with friends and/or diving.

I enjoyed staying there. The room was clean. Breakfast is not included. It is a good place to stay. Close to everything.

Central Hostel is okay - he does have air con so that is good. As advertise there isn't really a place to hang out and the dorm room although clean and cool (as in temperature) it lacked character, so maybe something could be done there, a bit of colour, some writing on the walls, errr, I don't know - just something. I didn't use the showers, so I don't know what they are like, they looked fine enough though. Down in the bathrooms - many interesting facts about the London Underground.

bood placebo to stay, rooms and beds are very good! no common area so not so easy to mingle with other backpackers. Travel agency charges commission on bookings and booked me on a night ferry on the outside deck without even warning - you can surely get better and cheaper place in some other ganache close to the pier.

This hostel is a really nice basic hostel with great facilities for the price. Wifi is fast and strong and the bathroom areas are always tidy. There's loads of travelers coming and going, and although there's no common area this hostel is a great place to meet people. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby too, and lots of shops and dive centres. The only con for me was the location- it's about a 30min walk from Sairee Beach (Koh Tao's "main area") which can be sucky in the heat.

Very close to the pier. It is a very clean hostel and my first time staying in a dorm with other people. Very chill atmosphere. The only con is that It gets pretty hot at night.

Nice hostel, Ralph at the front desk was extremely helpful and very informative. Very clean hostel, hot water, ac, close to everything. Short walk to the beach, and they provide maps. Very secure, clean beds and linens, clean shower and toilets. Would stay here again and again!

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel due to it's amazing location close to the beach, sairee beach, shops etc. It was great how you got discounts off certain shops with your key (10). Security was good due to needing a key to get into a seperate door which allowed access to the dorms. Showers and toilets weren't great but the staff were amazing, really kind, helpful and approachable.

This is a really good, ecologically friendly hostel. Although I was in a room with 14 beds, I slept very well all three nights I stayed there, b/c everyone seemed to respect the quiet hours (after 10 pm) and my bed was spacious and comfortable; the AC worked well; the Wi-Fi worked well; they have small lockers (but you need your own lock); the showers and toilets were cleaned regularly; the hostel is practically right at the pier; there are plenty of shops and restaurants right there. Thumbs up!

The location is great - very easy to walk there from the pier and there are many restaurants and shops close to it. The only "problem" is that it is a bit far away from the main beach, where most of nightlife is (nothing that 10 minutes walking won't solve). The bathrooms are a bit smelly but it is not their fault, I've seen the cleaning lady working all the time there. For the security - they have small lockers and CCTV in the rooms, which is very good.

Very clean, close to the ferry. The beds are separated so you have your privacy. Not a party hostel, but if you just wanna sleep it's a very good choice.

Good location in the town but close to everything. Staff was great, very very helpful. Though no common area the bar in front makes for it. Security is great and beds are perfect. Good value for money. 3 minutes to the beach

Although the guy running the desk is really friendly, this place is basically a crash pad. There is no common area. It's dark all the time. There are emergency lights on all the time but they are the only lights besides the bedside lights which are no help when you are packing. The bunks are semi private with the little walls but it does nothing for the sound. The location is good for the ferry and Mae Haad area. The walk to Sairee is about 20 minutes. It's only a place to sleep and wash up.

Owner Comment (Hide)
We appreciate the feedback. In the description of our hostel we clearly explain that we do not offer a common room. A lot of people meet up at Reef Bar, across the road, or elsewhere. At any rate, anyone reading this who would like a hostel WITh a common room...please DO NOT book with us as WE DON'T HAVE ONE!!! Please read the full description before you book. Thank you :)

Loved the place! The dutch owner is very helpfull, not in a way to his benefit, but really to make your time on koh tao the best. Yes, toilets can be smelly, but if that is what your worried about, stop travelling in Asia.. Beds are comfy, showers are good. You get what you pay for. And youre on a beautifull island, loved it!

Great hostel! Really nice staff and location is perfect! I would definitly recommend

The room I stayed in didnt have any windows and was right next to the bathrooms (hence very noisy).

I can safely say this is the best hostel I've ever stayed at! It's got a fantastic layout and the owner Rolfes is a legend! Great place to meet other backpackers and we made some brilliant new friends and had great nights even just chilling at the hostel...don't hesitate just book this! We'll definitely be back!

This is a great hostel to stay at if you like to party or chill out. It's right by pier and close to the beaches. It's a bit of a walk to the where the big parties are but that's not always a bad thing. It's great for meeting ppl, there's a great hangout spot/turf right outside the hostel plus the bar across the street is always filled with ppl from your hostel. The staff is great! They clean your room everyday, don't be scared off by the smelly toilets comments. It's Asia, what were u expecting
