I had a great time. Frontdesk guy was really helpful
We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. Rooms are comfortable and are cleaned everyday. Shared bathroom is very basic though, with nowhere to even hang your things while you have a shower. Staff were friendly and really helpful, giving us a great introduction when we first arrived. Restaurant is good but maybe a little pricey.
The design of the hostel with a big pool surrounded by a bar makes this a very sociable hostel- it's impossible not to meet people. Everybody I met was awesome and that includes the staff. At the front desk Diego and Tony are helpful, friendly and hilarious. On the bar Anna and a man known only as Nicholas Cage mix up some of the best maracuya cocktails this side of Cartagena. All in all the BEST hostel I've ever stayed in! Hated having to leave! Gracias amigos it was legen-wait for it-dary!
Perfect hostel if you need to relax for a couple of days (or five)! Nice swimmingpool, nice bar, good food at the restaurant, hammocks and a pool table. The guys in the reception is awesome! Only thing is the location - there is nothing to do. But its close to the supermarket and only two hours from tyrona park. I would go back!
This hostel's main competition is The Drop Bear. Compared to that hostel it wins hands-down on atmosphere, staff, and cleanliness. The layout of The Dreamer is much better, but the rooms are not as luxurious as The Drop Bear but they are still clean and very spacious. In terms of location, this hostel is very close to a huge department store, but The Drop Bear is in a slightly better neighbourhood for local eats and bars. We would recommend this over The Drop Bear - mostly because of atmosphere.
Reception staff are truly excellent, almost to the point of awkwardness. They remember your name your entire stay. Hostel is located near to a huge shopping center with department stores and a massive Exito. Not much else nearby, though. You can't BYO alcohol which is annoying but beers are COP3000 which is not too bad. Restaurant is pretty good. Guest kitchen area sometimes messy and busy but hostel is otherwise really great and seems spacious for so many guests. Recommend.
Definitely a nice hostel if you're interested in hanging out and having a relaxed time. I moved out after two days, because it was too far out of town (bus ~40 min, taxi 10 min) and it got expensive going back and forth. Breakfast is nice and they offer great organized tours! We couldn't charge our phones, etc in our dorms, there are only sockets outside in the hall.
Great staff who were happy to help with pretty much everything, lovely hostel with a brilliant pool area and other facilities. We had a room with a fan and it was hard to sleep - definitely opt for one with AC. In a strange location, but a good stop if visiting other places!
Cracking time and super people :) Guys just to know that we are in Caracas finally :) After 22hours in the bus !
We stayed in three different private rooms and one dorm room over five nights because the hostel was booked out (so book early). Every night people were sleeping in hammocks around the place because it was over capacity but the staff seemed to deal with it well. The rooms are really great - even the dorms are big enough to open out your luggage and have secure lockers. The private rooms have good comfortable beds and lots of space. No hot water but also not needed. Good hostel layout and good at
Stayed here on and off for over a week in dorm and privates - has such a great location for getting to things like tayrona, Minca, and palomino and they will store your stuff which is awesome. Great staff, great facilities, very clean and with a kitchen located close to a huge supermarket so can save money cooking.
There's nothing I didn't enjoy about the hostel. Since my arrival I was welcomed warmly by Gustavo and Tony. I was in a dorm of 10 (India) which was really nice, clean and mostly cool as the temperature degrees varied from 30 to 40ish. Breakfast is delicious, I am vegetarian and I ate very well for only $8,000 additional pesos. Bathrooms are clean, kitchen is awesome, you've got all you need and the common spaces are just perfect where so much going on all the time, throughout the whole day/night

The dreamer is absolutely amazing. The staff is really friendly and everybody remembers your naam. The rooms have enough space, even the 10 bed. The breakfast is expensive but really good and optinial.
A bit expensive, but worth it. Santa Marta is so hot you need the pool! The staff is amazing! love the guys at the reception! Would recommend this hostel!
Nice place to stay in. Great swiming pool
Great hostel! Staff were amazing and very helpful! Would recommend to others!
Best staff I have ever come across, and amazing breakfast for about $4.50! T.V room upstairs is a good idea but the cable does not work and being on a terrace it is stinking hot and there is always lots of glare from the sun. Seating which also looks nice is not comfortable at all so everybody just watches T.V in the restaurant area downstairs. A solid chilled out hostel but I would not say it is the best hostel in Colombia like awarded.
Staff are super friendly and this is a great place to chillout!! Had a great time thank you Dreamer :)
