The Elephant Hostel Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation Policy for Fully Flexible Rate: 2 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Non-refundable: Payment has to be done upon reservation is made and it is not refundable in any circumstances.

I had the top bunk (three beds high) and getting up and down on the ladder was a little bit of a struggle, especially it was hard to bring things up the ladder with you or bring them down the ladder since it’s so high. Also the entrance to the hostel has doors that open hands-free which is somewhat nice when you’re carrying many things, except the doors take forever to close which is kind of a safety issue; I was constantly worried that someone would be able to easily follow me in.

This hostel is rated too high in my opinion. It was a fine place to stay, but way lower quality for the price point than it should be. High price to stay in a 9 bed room with a shared 18 person bathroom for only 3 stalls. You make your own bed and have to strip it at the end, they don’t provide soaps for the shower, and they have lockers in the top shelf that anyone under 5’7” can’t reach without stepping on a step stool (that they don’t provide). People also put their luggage EVERYWHERE.
