I have stayed in 30+ hostels across Europe and Australia, and this is one of the better stays I've had. It is in a great location, close enough to the action in Sydney but a five minutes walk from Central into Surrey Hills. A lovely park across the road is nice to relax in and there are good restaurants and pubs down the road. The room was clean and comfortable, with good facilities. I loved the window overlooking the park. It was a very comfortable stay. The staff were lovely. No complaints.

Helpful staff kindly arranged on request for me to be put in a quiet room so my quick airport stopover went smoothly. Thanks.

Hostel was very dirty and grubby. i stayed in a 4 bed en suite and the shower was rusty and dripped all night, there was also a problem with the hot water so it took ages to heat up. there was no curtain over the window ad the rooms are off the communial area, it was very noisy. It reminded me of a prison cell. I will not be staying there again! I have travel a fair bit in the last year or so and this is by far the worst hostel i have stayed in.

Nice bright place with staff who knew what they were talking about and were happy to assist as much as they could. Very good value, shared bathroom facilities were excellent and clean. Beware the 9am checkout - some sites say it's 10am here but it isn't. I had wheels, so just the usual Sydney gripes about difficulty parking, weekend parking in the street is untimed though. Unfortunately I arrived too late to grab one of the hotel's parking spots.

Please tell the staff to empty the washing and drying machine as soon as it finishes.

there should be a better common area, the only one existing is composed by a few table and backyard chairs. Could be useful some couches and tv in a CLOSED SPACE. The coffee machine doesn\'t work. I contract a shuttle to the airport which never comes. The toilet paper was awful!

I stayed in a double room - it was quiet, clean, and friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful, overall it has been worth the money and a pleasant experience. Would stay here again when visiting. There is a common kitchen, quite large, with lots of utensils, and the dining area is cosy. There was no noise at night or during the day, all very civil and decent.

I want to thank the staff for helping to sort out my misbooking so quickly and succinctly! I booked the wrong days and they were able to not only rectify a problem on MY behalf, but also improved my booking and allow me to use a car space! It was a fantastic weekend, thanks for everything!

The hostel looked clean, in a good location, near the Central station and many bus stops. However my room, with bunk beds, wasn't not big enough to stay comfortably, so I wouldn't recommend this hostel (or at least my room) if you want to stay more than a few days (it's not easy to open you own luggage if there's someone else with you in the room). The WiFi connection offered by the hostel lasts only 4 hours, then you have to buy (for 3$) 4 additional hours..

I thought I had booked a 4 bedroom with ensuite but I hadnt. I had booked dorm without ensuite. The girl was very nice when I told her I would have trouble going 3 flights of stairs with my bad back and was really disappointed. The girl let me stay on ground floor with ensuite without paying any extra for it. I really appreciate what she did for me. Thankyou so much.

Great place in terms of proximity to town, felt the cleanliness of the ensuite for a room that you paid extra for was extremely disappointing, the mould on the shower screen would not be that hard to clean off if done regularly. The pillows need replacing, I ended up sleeping without one.

The door to my room did not always lock properly and had to be checked The bathroom could do with a good spray with exit mold And the mattress was pretty bad, gave me a sore back most nights.

I was staying at the top floor, 4th floor. The water pressure was bad. Quite hard to balance the hot & cold water. Good selection of brochures & magazine to find out what is ON in Sydney & places to go. Didnt have the chance to use the internet & kitchen because of tight schedules. Free shuttle bus to the hostel was the utmost favourite of mine being a first timer.

the best value was atmosphere. Calm area.... easy to get relaxed. having AC was a good point ... but walking or taking bus is needed for sightseeing.
