First when they told me my dorm was by the spool, I had a good feeling about the place. Salt water pool heated (did'nt seem heated when I was there). The kitchen and eating area with pick nik table are well situated to meet people. Check out at 10h00 is a little bit early especially when you go out ( but it seems the norm in Australia) and the have to pay lockers after check out for the bag are secure but a extra spending.

Very good facilities for the traveller eg washing machine, drying area, iron etc. Pleasant and helpful staff only down side fire alarm going off two nights in a row when trying to sleep however staff where excellent at clearing the building, if there had been a fire we would all have been safe.

Nice hostel within walking distance to the beach. Takes a while to get to the city, but good for access to the beach. One interesting thing is they make you rent your cutlery, I guess they got sick of loosing it. Everything else was good. Nice large lounge/dinig room. Friendly atmosphere, not too noisy, great rooftop views.

Good Hostel not too far from Bondi Beach. There is something going on there every day and the staff are very helpful for booking trips or tours. The rooms are a little small but otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Australia is an expensive country, so I understand the room rate being quite high. But in my opinion there is no excuse to gouging customers over necessities like towels and internet. I have hosteled all over Europe and Asia and such things are always part of the price of admission. I'm surprised they didn't charge extra for pillows and sheets.

Good location, rooms are okay, no noise at night, only two toilets/showers on my floor which was a bit annoying sometimes, the staff members at the reception were not always too friendly. I had a good time, so overal i am happy with the hostel.

A fire extinguisher had been set off in the mens bathroom meaning that we were unable to use the toilet or shower which resulted in us having to walk down 2 flights of stairs and had to queue for ages.

We only stayed one night but felt at home right away; the rooms were spotless and it was easy to meet people within the communal areas. Unfortunataly we didn't get any sun during our visit but the walk down to the beach front was an easy one and the view from the headland nearby is very beautiful.

The staff was great and helpfull. A lite bit of "partybreaker". No drinking after 22:00.

Management of Bondi Beachouse overcharged me during Christmas period by enforcing a minimum stay policy of 9 nights for a rate which is much higher than average. It was enforced on none of my room mates and thus I feel ripped off and over charged. I would advise the fellow travellers to stay away from this ripp off place at all costs and go to a more professionally run hostel instead. A 50$ a night accomodation looks different than this hostel... Value for money: very poor.
