We don’t have favourites here at Hostelworld, but if our inner diva could choose… this hostel might be one of them. It’s a hippie paradise and we’re more than a little bit obsessed with it. The dorm rooms are unlike any you’ve seen before: the cutest little vintage caravans fitted with capsule style beds. Decorated with kitsch accessories like mushroom table lamps or stuffed toy animal busts on the walls, each caravan has a unique personality. If you’re the outdoorsy type looking to explore the Dutch countryside, whilst also being just a hop, skip and a jump away from Amsterdam’s city centre, then this is the hostel for you.

Freehand Miami – Miami, USA
This is the kind of hostel that will steal your heart. Like everything else in this place, the dorms are designed with such love and attention it’s impossible not to feel at home here. Featuring artwork by local Miami Beach artists, a comfy lounge area and work desk, this is the perfect place to wind down after a long day of surfing, eating and adventuring. The nautically-themed cabin bunks are equipped with privacy screens, plug sockets, air con and free Wi-Fi. Hello sailor!

Each pod has its own reading light and power socket, and the 300 thread count linen will make you feel like you’re in your own tiny hotel room.

This hostel really lives up to its name – it’s a beast! There are loads of dorm options, and they’re all amazing; designed by local artists and decked out with vintage furniture and hammock seats. They even have their own bespoke aromatherapy scent to guarantee sweet dreams.
The Business Dorm comes with its own office desk for digital nomads, and there’s even a typewriter for anybody who wants to pretend they’re Oscar Wilde. In the Luxury Female Dorm, the bunks are queen-sized and have their own silky privacy curtain. And then there’s the Lovers Loft – not quite dorm, not quite private – where couples, or travellers who have just met (no judgements here!), can hide away for some private time… how considerate is that?!
